Our investment management process is rigorous, transparent and repeatable. It begins with the ideas and insights of the Global Investment Committee (GIC). The committee comprises Chief Investment Officers and Chief Investment Strategists from each global region, along with asset class specialists and representatives from Deutsche Asset Management and Deutsche Bank Global Markets.
The GIC meets on a regular basis to debate and refine its views on the global economy, market trends and asset class returns. The primary output from the committee is the global PWM house view.
Using the global house view as its foundation, the U.S. Investment Committee (USIC) applies proprietary quantitative and qualitative methodologies to develop forward-looking return assumptions for each asset class. These projections form the basis for determining both strategic and tactical asset allocations for U.S. clients. Portfolios are typically global in scope, holding multiple asset classes and sub-asset classes and further modified to meet the unique objectives of each client.
Our investment management capabilities also include a broad array of advisory solutions through our Charter Select Program, which can provide asset allocation and investment selection to meet the varied needs of our clients.2

The Global Manager Research (GMR) team applies a disciplined and transparent process for identifying and selecting top-quartile managers for every asset class. Once they are in place, managers are regularly monitored to ensure that they fully meet GMR’s standards of consistency, stability and predictability; only those who continue to meet GMR’s rigorous standards are retained.
